OH NO!
i just sum up my expenses for this month and its more than $1300!!! I spent more than $600 on school stuff la... freshmen bash, outings, school books, laptop bag, NUS dance concert, dance funds... and the rest on birthdays, BBQ, Kbox, lunches, dinners...OMG!!! im so going to be broke in less than two months time if this continues... so, im going to save up BIG TIME. no more expensive food. no more subways. no more buying of books. hope at least next month i can cut down my expenses to $500???
anyway i look forward to tml and wed... rest for me. no lessons tml and public holiday on wed. i need a break! SCREAM THIS TO SMU...
i just realised most of my frens msn nick are similar... "busy busy busy" or "tired tired tired" or "give me more time time time"...
its the result of uni life... not as stress as JC, but even more competitive and busy... every1 in SMU is a mugger, study day and night la. guess that's why they go crazy when it comes to play.
i need to play soon...zzz. i feel distant from my family. from God. i feeling tired of this already. its only week 7...

hi ppl... im back from the OCS commissioning ball yesterday! it was really grand,... and i had a good time :)
great thanks to cass for perming my hair, putting make up for me, dolling me up <3
cass started helping me at around 4pm, putting curlers onto my hair, chitchatting... and we only realised its 530 when my date called me and told me he was downstairs already! it was havoc lor, as everything was not done, but we manage to finish everything by 6pm... hurhur...
he picked me up from cass house and we were supposingly only 5 min car ride away from fullerton hotel. but his bother didnt know the way around and we took 40min to reach there... and my date, sy, was suppose to perform at 630 but we only reach around 645? i think sy is a really nice guy, his brother kept turning the wrong way but sy didnt complain or blame him sia... :) anyway, his name is sung yang. he is a taiwanese. he studies music in NAFA, plays violin and piano, dad is a musician and also a pastor. that's how his dad knows my dad and ya, how i came to the ball with him... anyway, we were late but he still performed with one of his fren. he played the violin while his buddy played the piano... they were good !
after that we had a photoshot... it was cool lah... a professional photographer company were at the reception of the ball to help each couple to take photos. we had to take a few couples pictures together and also a few individual shots... and they would give us for free... :)
we proceeded into the grant ballroom for our FOOD... the 5 dishes served up was very nice, i enjoyed the dessert most! while we were having our food, we had performances and activities lined up... it was interesting... i got to see the video of 9 months training for the OCS cadets, saw how their bunks are like, how their trainings in taiwan and brunei were...
For the activities, couples were called up on stage to have a mini competition of MTV dance style and bolliwood dance style. the guy and his date had to dance around a tree ( the MC) with a really classic indian song...! super funny! they had presentation and speeches by their different wings too... was really good. i wasnt bored at all... sung yang was there to explain to me about what they did, what this and that meant also... oh ya! the funniest thing of all was a surprise performance by all the officer cadets! they had a mass dance where all the guys, in their no.2 uniform, form a circle around the whole ballroom and danced together! it was funny :p
after the whole event was past 12 already... sung yang and i with his buddy and his date walked to merlion, took alot of pictures, and then we headed back home. i think sung yang was a gentleman... ocs is successful in their training (he said they were taught how to be a gentleman), he sent me to my door step and even apologised to my dad for bring me home late... haha, sound so traditional right? :)

i love my mama... she so randomly asked me to go shopping with her on tues. as i have no lessons, so i went with her. and, she so randomly bought me a SK diamond necklance. she says it is my birthday present in advance...but my birthday is so far aways la... think she is finding excuse to buy me a present! :p

yay, i just signed up for standard chartered 42km run with my camp mates... going to start training soon...!
got a free jersey from smu too
i seriously need to save up soon... food in smu is expensive! i spent on an average $8 a day on food! the food in Kou Fu has an average price of $4... cheapest around $2.50? and most expensive around $8? and the only proper food around are Kou Fu, Kopitiam and subway. the rest Mr bean, Toast, Mr Tea are not filling at all. think i need start bring food to school soon... :(

ytd i handed up my assignment late. dont know what will happen man! it was due 1159, while i submitted online at 1203... 4 mins late only, but the turnitin system showed a bright red LATE for my assignment. shit la, hope i wont be marked down a grade... !

i feel so sinful today. first time a guy spent so much on me(other than my dad)... i heard from my seniors that its a tradition in OCS to buy a dress for the lady they invited... ya, the guy whom im going to the commissioning ball with, bought a formal dress for me and a matching shoe for over 200 bucks... think the ticket cost a few hundreds too. i heard tt he helped me to booked a make-up artist too...mus have cost a bomb... i didnt even spent so much during prom night...
but ya i love the dress (i chose it), its maroon in colour, nice under the light :) my lousy hp camera cant really capture the dress...
anyway, i went kbox with the OFFICE LADIES in abacus capital today. was really shiok! long time since i met up with them. my nicest manager (Kit), lovable accountant (Sheereen), cutest ex-secretary (Mabel), ex-AFM (Eliz), and dearest ting(temp staff)
i miss being with them, just talking rubbish and relaxing :)

i slept 12 hours ytd. IM SO HAPPY! :)
it is to compensate for ~4 hours sleep the past few days
anyway, i came up with a new product for my creative thinking class today.
its an improvisation of a mouse. its called a SENSE-IT-RING (or "i can sense you"). its a ring which u can wear it on your index and middle finger. when u want to click something, the ring can sense the strength exerted and will click on yr laptop screen. whereas when u wan to scroll, jus make a gentle scrolling movement and the ring can sense it. so, u dont have to use a mouse nor a keypad sense. no more finger cramp. no more inconvinence. it can be a fashion tool too... mayb you can see it in the market in 6 yrs time, designer - FLORENCE HO!!! whaha... wishful thinking on my part
i got to create a visual map too... shit la! no more creative juices in my brain anymore. how? mayb i should go to the seaside or forest to get inspiration... anyway, i like my creative thinking project group. everyone click well. mayb its because creative thinking is one of the subjects where everyone dont have to compete with each other in class; our grades are dependence on class project, so everyone has to work together. i like it.
im so in a good mood today. mayb its bcos i got 12 hours of sleep today. haha.

Initially a really nice purple skin with streaks of baby pink and white strips caught my eyes. i really love it lah, but its $32 :(... So i search and dig and search, and found this red and white skin which cost only $15 :) there are alot other cute and chio designs. Go check it out people! its at Sim Lim square :D

Phew, i need a break man. Everything seems to fly past, i cant seem to be able to stop and savour moments of uni life!
I have been physically drained recently. cos i joined two dance ccas(4 dance lessons a week!) indancity(modern dance) and emix (hip hop dance). i had dance practices everyday from sat ... emix audition followed by indancity prac followed by emix prac and followed by indancity prac again on wed. oh man, i think my muscules are tearing apart! The exercises they do are alot more vigorous than my previous dance ccas. 120 crutches, pull ups, jumps, leaps every warm up lesson leh! i feel like quitting one cca man. but just feel pity as it was hard to get through their auditions. For emix, they chose 30+ freshmen out of 110+... and hip hop lessons cost <$50 per 8 sessions outside ya... while mine is $10 per term. heehee... quit ? dont quit? quit? dont quit?
How i wish smu has hostel, so i dont have to travel to and fro (2hr!!!) everyday.
i so dont like to squeeze with the morning crowd everyday.
How i wish smu has travelator, so i dont have to carry my 1.9kg damn laptop and walk from one school to another school everyday.

heyy... i jus went indancity's 2nd AGM (annual-general-meeting). i think i like it. i've decided i shall stay on this cca. yea, dancing is my life! indancity is a modern dance. somehow different from pjc modern dance. it requires alot more techniques like splitting, pointing and emotion. quite similar to the syf dance piece in commonwealth chinese dance :) and i love it man! the ppl there are all very nice but they are short of guys. as usual... guys are mostly attracted to the hip hop dance and the ballroom dance lah...
i think im finally getting used to uni life.
im finally participating in class. i feel a sense of achievement, you know. i raised my hand more than 10 times for my biz law class. im so proud. :D
i finally gotten my ez-link card. i can buy concession = cheaper transportation fare
i finally decided on a cca.
i finally gotten a laptop bag.
i finally gotten a locker.
i finally found a gym partner.
i finally went to smu library. (nice)
i finally stop getting lost in school.
feeling so contented today. :)

omg im having a mental block. im supposed to write this essay now but i cant think of any ideas. how do youths mark their identities?
anyway, its only third week, but my projects have all started. almost all mod has a project, except academic writing. which is worst, where i eventually have to write a 10 pages long essay. im supposed to have only a 3 day week, but i ended up having a 7 day week... i ended up having to come back school for projects even on sat and sun. :( how sad can my life be...
oh, i got into indancity (dance-in-the-city) their audition was rather scary. those who went were tested one by one on how good their jumps/leaps are. we had to leap across the dance floor one by one. followed by the audition piece and a 1 min free style. glad i got through. next im gonna try eurhythmix. a hip hop dance. wish me luck...!
