It's Singapore Biggest Street Dance Party! 31 Jan 2009, 9pm - 3am.
There would be celebrities dancing and more imptly Funkamania as one of the highlight :D

It is an annual inter-tertiary hip hop dance competition organised by NUS i think...
i've watch the "floor-the-love" competition - organised by SMU emix last year where hip hop dancers from korean and singapore come together to have a friendly dance battle - and i was totally stunned by it... this would be even better. >.<
a dance battle comes in single or duet. single dance battling is where 2 dancers stand opposite each other and "battle" each other. a random song would be played and the dancer has to take turns to dance. the point here is to be interactive with the other dancer across the floor... dance battling could come in many different dance style, like: hip hop, locking, popping, B-boys. what i found most interesting and challenging about dance battling is that it is all impromp-tu (is it spelt like that?) (on-the-spot). dancers have to be creative and got to have a good rythmic-sense to impromp-tu within the usual 45-60secs that they are given... i find it really amazing and cool when the dancers could dance like its a choerographed dance. i had seen it in "floor the love" which made me WOW...esp my idol!
im so going for cityalive... and the president of emix got into the finalist for Funkamania. im so going to support her:))) although im still broke.....
anyway, i vomitted jus now :((( its cramp again... damn pain laa... i keep having cold sweat and keep vomitting... have to rely on panadol again... :((( i hope tml will be better...
